The Pixel 3a is already a bargain at its usual price of £399, so this deal is really great value, particularly if you've already had your eye on the phone. There are some inevitable compromises, such as the lower-spec Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor and the lack of fancy features such as wireless charging, but those things don’t make a huge impact on the overall quality of the phone.

No, the camera is the star of the show here, with the same 12.2-megapixel lens, wide f/1.8 aperture, dual-pixel autofocus and optical image stabilisation as you'll find on the full-priced Pixel 3 – a great feature for a mid-range phone and one that makes this a very attractive purchase for photography buffs and Instagram fanatics alike.
