It’s on sale across both John Lewis and Microsoft this Cyber Monday, following on from the Black Friday period. The reduction will depend on the processor you opt for, with up to £75 slashed from the price.

At John Lewis, you can save £20 on the lower-end model, with an Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y processor and 4GB RAM, with 64GB eMMC storage. That brings the price down to £379 .

The retailer is also offering a larger cut to the price of the higher end Surface Go 2 model, with £60 off the cost of a setup with an Intel Pentium Gold 4425Y processor and 8GB RAM, with 128GB eMMC storage. That brings the price down to £469 .

If you buy direct from Microsoft, you’ll find the same deals as well as a few more with the Intel Core M3 processor. The deepest cut there being a £75 reduction is on the Intel Core M3 LTE model, with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. That’s down to £644.

In our review , we found a lot to love about the machine’s design and useability, as well as its top quality webcam, excellent microphone and surprisingly good speakers. However, we found that performance can struggle when faced with more advanced work tasks, such as editing large photos, as well as playing games.

We therefore recommended that the Surface Go 2 be used as “a companion device for the occasional job,” rather than a full-on laptop replacement. “But if that’s what you’re looking for, the Microsoft Surface Go 2 will do a sterling job,” wrote our reviewer.
