You can add an address bar to the taskbar of Windows 8.1, to rapidly search for your online content or access your favorite web pages. The procedure is as follows:

Right-click on the taskbar > Properties. Go to the Toolbars tab and tick the checkbox next to Address:

Save your settings and that's it:
