Headed for the final day of the Biathlon, it's possibly the most exciting two events remaining - the women's and men's mass start. Taking place over 12.5km and 15km respectively, two fields of 30 plus athletes go in direct competition as they combine exhausting cross-country skiing with rifle shooting. Don't miss the big one in Beijing 2022. Here's how to watch a biathlon live stream wherever you are.
In biathlon, competitors alternate between skiing and shooting at targets from both a standing and prone position. Competitors take part in races ranging from 7.5km to 20km long, all while lugging a 3.5kg rifle and ammunition. Some feature all of the competitors starting at the same time, others stagger the competitors based upon their qualifying times from earlier races.
Each biathlon event is set to be live streamed from the Zhangjiakou National Biathlon Center, located 180km northwest of Beijing. Norway and Germany have by far the most medals in biathlon at the Winter Olympics. Watch out for Tiril Eckhoff from Norway – who possesses the most Olympic biathlon medals (five) of any currently active female competitor – and fellow Norwegian Sutrla Holm, who won four gold medals at the 2021 Biathlon World Championships.
The Winter Olympics biathlon takes place from February 5–19. Below you'll find all the information on how to watch a biathlon live stream from the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, wherever you are in the world.

Watch a biathlon live stream with a VPN
There are so many events going on at the Winter Olympics that not every country's TV and streaming coverage shows every discipline. If you can't get the biathlon where you are, then you can use a VPN to tune into a live stream from another country – something you might need to do if travelling abroad.
By downloading and installing a VPN , you can effectively trick your computer into thinking that it's back at home in the same country as the streaming service that you're trying to access. That way you can enjoy your home coverage without having to find an illegal stream - assuming you comply with the broadcaster's fine print, of course.
Use a VPN to watch the biathlon from anywhere
How to use a VPN
Using a VPN is as easy as one-two-three...
1. Download and install a VPN - as we say, our top choice is ExpressVPN
2. Connect to the appropriate server location - open the VPN app, hit 'choose location', eg: select 'US' for Peacock, or 'UK' for BBC, 'Australia' for 7Plus or 'Canada' for CBC.
3. Go to the broadcaster's live stream - so that might be 7Plus , CBC , BBC iPlayer or Peacock TV .

Qualcomm’s new AI modem promises rapid 5G speeds for your next phone
Qualcomm has launched a new modem-RF system that utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) to achieve “breakthrough 5G performance”.
Announced at MWC 2022 , the Snapdragon X70 is set to become the world’s first 5G modem-RF to feature an integrated AI processor when it launches later in 2022.
According to Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, the Snapdragon X70 will offer 10 Gigabit downloads over 5G, low latency and the company’s trademark levels of power efficiency.
AI-enabled 5G
On stage at MWC, Amon set out the new opportunities the combination of AI and 5G will create, including enabling next-generation apps that rely on rapid speeds and low latency.
“AI plus 5G, it’s a big deal,” he explained. “The ability to use AI to make predictions about how the modem is going to behave, optimize the interaction with the network and personalize experiences [is a huge development].“
“The speed that the 5G roadmap is developing is faster than any other generation of wireless and we couldn’t be any more excited.”
Amon also repeatedly emphasized the importance of helping mobile operators to maximize spectrum resources, demand for which will only grow as the number of connected devices grows.
With this objective in mind, the Snapdragon X70 will also boost signal strength, which is particularly important in the context of short-range mmWave. In the absence of mmWave signal, meanwhile, the X70 will help make the best possible use of sub-6Ghz spectrum too.
“Our 5th generation modem-RF system extends our global 5G leadership and the introduction of native 5G AI processing creates a platform and inflexion point for performance-enhancing innovations,” said Durga Malladi, who heads up 5G, mobile broadband and infrastructure at Qualcomm.
“Snapdragon X70 is an example of how we’re realizing the full potential of 5G and making an intelligently connected world possible.”
The new modem-RF system is set to be made available to customers for sampling in H2 2022, with a commercial rollout expected to take place later in the year.

I should have never bought the PS5 HD Camera – and neither should you
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I still don’t know why I bought the PS5 HD Camera . In fact, I don’t even have the thing plugged in anymore – a testament to how much I’ve been enjoying my spurious new purchase.
Perhaps I bought it out of mere curiosity, or maybe it was because the Shellder-looking device was on sale at the time. Unfortunately, apart from using it to stream on Twitch now and then, the PS5 HD Camera is woefully limited in what it can do.
I remember questioning why anyone would buy the PS4 Camera when it first launched, but it’s currently a far more capable device than Sony’s recent iteration of its proprietary webcam. The PS4 Camera has facial recognition so you can log in to your PS4 hands-free, includes a microphone so you can shout out voice commands, and eventually became an integral part of PSVR , allowing head and gesture tracking.
Not that next-gen
The PlayStation 5 HD Camera, in comparison, doesn’t have a microphone, has no facial recognition for seamless logins, and won’t even be necessary for PSVR 2 as the new headset has inside-out tracking and dedicated controllers. You can’t even replace the PS4 camera with the PS5 version if you do want to use it for PSVR, which says it all really.
You do get significantly better image quality on Sony’s new PS5 camera, as the PlayStation 5 version is capable of 1080p capture while the PS4’s version tops out at 800p. However, the PS4 camera was at least used in some games like Alien Isolation , all of the Just Dance titles, and Tearaway Unfolded. No games support the PS5 HD Camera right now.
The regret is real
I know that my buyer’s remorse is entirely my own fault, of course – I didn’t have to buy the PS5 HD Camera, and it’s not like I didn’t know that it could only be used to broadcast yourself on Twitch or YouTube when I bought it. But still, I was hoping there would be some other benefit to owning one. I do admittedly like the built-in stand that lets you place the camera on top of or below your TV, and the 80s child in me really appreciates that the camera looks a bit like Short Circuit’s Jonny 5.
But unless you’re fully committed to streaming solely on PS5, which isn’t without its issues, the PS5 HD Camera simply isn’t worth your money right now. In the future, we could see Sony adding some much-needed functionality – facial recognition would be an easy win, for example – but currently it doesn’t do enough to justify the $60 / £50 / AU$99.95 price tag.
Steer clear
Frustratingly, Sony doesn’t let you use any other webcams on PS5. This is at odds with Microsoft’s approach. You can plug almost any third-party webcam into an Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S for streaming, many of which perform better than the PlayStation 5 HD Camera and have the added bonus of working on a PC.
That could make the PS5 HD Camera an unavoidable purchase for some, but for everyone else, heed my advice and steer clear. You really don’t need it.
However, there is one PS5 accessory that I wholeheartedly recommend picking up right now: the DualSense Charging Station. I’ve found that since buying the Charging Station, it’s helped alleviate any feelings of frustration I have when the 'Wireless Controller battery is low' prompt appears – something that happens far too frequently. The DualSense Charging Station doesn't occupy any of the PS5’s precious USB ports either as it plugs directly into a power outlet. This means after you've finished playing, you simply pop your pad into the dock and it’ll be ready to go when you return.
Better still, if you own a second DualSense controller, you can hot-swap between pads when required. As you play on your freshly charged pad, your other controller will be charging, so you’ll technically never be caught short again when it comes to the DualSense's middling battery life. Unlike the PS5 HD Camera, it's totally worth the asking price of $30 / £24.99.
